International Hindi Day Celebrations

 

The Program/Activities for the day include:

Speeches by the host, Hon John Aquilina MP, Parliamentary Secretary and Leader of the House, and other Dignitaries

Book Launch : Guldasta (A Bouquet)

Guldasta is a collection of Hindi and Urdu original poetry contributed by the professional and amateur poets of Indian Subcontinent heritage residing in Australia. They express their feeling and experiences of the Australian Life and its impact on the culture.

Guldasta is published in Hindi (Devanagri Script) and Urdu (Urdu Script) incorporating original (not pre-published) poetries with transliterations – Hindi poetry to Urdu Script and Urdu poetry to Devnagri Script. This book is an Australian initiative and will be available worldwide for the distribution as a “Unique Poetry Book from Australia “.

This unique book is published by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Australia (Bhavan) in association with Bhavan's Book University, Mumbai, India (which has to its credit over 1,900 publications).

Performance in Hindi by school children

Recitation of Stories/Poetries in Hindi by eminent scholars of Indian subcontinent heritage.


Bhavan will honor distinguished individuals who have made significant contribution to the promotion of Hindi Language in Australia.
